Mary Swanson

May 9th 1938 ~ February 3rd 2007

In the afternoon on Saturday, February 3rd, 2007, our mother lost her over 3-year battle with lung cancer.  She touched many lives as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She taught us all how to live our lives to the fullest and love every minute of it.  We will always love and remember her.

God saw you were getting tired,

and a cure was not to be,

so he put his arms around you

and whispered “Come with me”.

With tearful eyes we watched you,

and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly,

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.

Mom definitely wanted to be able to help the medical community by study after she passed on, and to also help the animals.

Mary’s wishes were that her body be donated to MedCure for Medical research on Lung Cancer. That wish was Granted!

In Loving memory of our Mother.

Also, she sure loved animals, and always wanted to visit wild life reserves, especially the wild game reserves in Africa featuring the Giraffe.  With this passion in mind, instead of flowers and gifts, we would like you to donate to the World Animal Foundation in her honor:  A symbolic adoption of a Giraffe.

Donations will be used to adopt a giraffe

Adopt A Giraffe from the World Animal Foundation and make a difference for animals and the environment.  Donations for the W.A.F.'s Adopt A Giraffe symbolic adoption helps the World Animal Foundation to preserve the planet and protect its animals.
